Powder Explosion Portraits
The experience
When we add colored powder to our portrait sessions, the result is explosive ... and dare we say, creatively colorful. Our portrait subjects come with pristine apparel and elegant hairstyles, and leave with pink, turquoise, and purple on their cheeks, toes and hair. Oh, and big smiles on their face!
Taylor Art Photos uses three different colored powder mixtures, whose bases are either flour or cornstarch based. These powders are tossed behind and around our fun-loving clients! For some portraits, we have you toss the powder while simultaneously performing movements. Additionally, we will add the powder to loose hair for maximum dispersion. Colored powder will be everywhere! The ground, the backdrop, and the client! But, it is so much fun!
Powder Explosion Portrait (PEP) sessions began as a gymnastics and dancing session, but is also embraced by models and people who just love to step out of the box when it comes to portraits.
